“You were given life; it is your duty (and also your entitlement as a human being) to find something beautiful within life, no matter how slight.”
― Elizabeth Gilbert
Today I must talk about Arbonne. You may or may not have heard of this company. If you haven’t….think of Avon meets Whole Foods. It is top of the line beauty products that you can sell and have a stay at home business. I am not a sales person. I couldn’t sell a bag of money. I am still a little unsure if Arbonne is going to be my at home business or just the place I get my beauty products from. Anyway, I fell into this company through my sister-in-law. She wanted my husband and I to be consultants and for the last two months we have been. I knew nothing about this company before I heard about it two months ago. I was and I still am a little skeptical. I try new products pretty frequently and I am always so surprised by the outcome. I started with little samples of the gelee and I have to tell you that when the samples were dwindling down I started to feel a little anxious….like “what am I going to do now!!”. So as a new consultant you can order anything and automatically get 35% off. Also, as a new consultant, if you spend up to $150.00 on your first order you get to pick a free gift. One of those gifts is the Genius system for your face which retails at $95.00(and you get it free!). So I did it. I spent the money. I got the gelee I wanted so bad, the RE9 rejuvenating skin serum, some lip balm, and an exfoliating sea salt scrub. I also chose the Genius system as my free gift. Now, like I said, I knew nothing about this stuff. I knew nothing about RE9 products and anti-aging products. I just figured I would get makeup for the rest of my life to hide the things I did not like about my aging face. Let’s rewind back a moment. I am a 36 year old woman with two children aged 7 and 8. When I had my second child, a girl named Sofia, my skin got weird. I felt so old and I looked it. I even got two little liver spots on my left temple which I have been covering up for the last 7 years. I just thought, “oh well, I am getting older. I have to try to embrace it”. I had tried lots of different products on my very sensitive skin and they would make me break out. At times I felt like a teenager again with all of my pimples. That’s what my skin situation was in a nutshell. I started using the gelee on my face because I had free samples of it and I wanting something nice for after my shower. I would say that by the next day I was seeing a difference in the way my skin looked and felt. I started liking the person I saw in the mirror again. I thought that maybe if I tried the anti-aging products I could possibly see an even better result. That is when I made my first order. I am now currently using the serum on my face twice a day, the gelee all over my body, and the sea salt scrub in the shower. I really can’t believe the difference in my face. I feel that it is pretty drastic. No, I don’t have any before and after photos because I really didn’t think it was going to work. Some of the negative blogs I have read on the products say that there are better products on the market, but I really don’t care. This is working for me. Not only that, but the products are not tested on animals, they are certified vegan and gluten-free, and they are made from botanicals(so that means no nasty ingredients). I am currently using the genius system on my face as well and my liver spots are fading before my eyes. I am not wearing makeup because my skin looks so good without it. I really can’t speak highly enough about this product and what it has done to boost my self confidence. I don’t feel I had a problem with myself prior to using the products, but it is the result that has made me just feel so good about myself in a way I didn’t know was missing. I am sure there are a lot of moms out there that are busy all day and the last thing they want to do is fuss with themselves. They don’t want to search around for something they don’t need or like me…put their kids needs before their own and say, “who cares about beauty products”. Being a mom is so hard and sometimes you just need something to boost you up. This stuff did that for me. Of course, it is for all women, men, and even children. They have a great protein powder, meal replacement bars, kids vitamins, a whole men’s line, and even toothpaste. They really have it all. I hope this helps those of you that have thought about this company or maybe I may have even stirred up some interest in a new product. I would encourage you to find a consultant in your area to try out some free samples from them to see how it works for you and your skin. Maybe, you might even start your own business. Whatever the outcome, I hope this was helpful. Until next time….
“You don’t have to burn books to destroy a culture. Just get people to stop reading them.”
Throughout all my sweeping, I found a great website that gave me the tools to finally be a winner. You can find this site here. I usually go to the part where they show you all the expiring sweepstakes and I hurry up and get my information in before the day is out. Anyway, I have won 4 books so far just by entering the goodreads.com sweepstakes. I wanted to talk about one book in particular today. When I entered to win this book I didn’t think I would win it, but fortunately I did. I felt that the author was kind enough to send me the book to review, so I had to read it. You must be wondering, “WHAT BOOK IS IT?!?!”. OKAY! The book is called The Winter Bride, by Anne Gracie. I had never read a romance book prior to this one and I was a bit worried that it would be x-rated. I found out quite quickly that it was definitely not x-rated and it was very interesting. It is a historical romance book and I normally read historical fiction(my favorite) so this wasn’t too far off from what I was already used to. It read a bit like a Jane Austen novel, but with writing that we are used to in this day and age. It takes place in the 1800’s and it is about a woman named Damaris whom was a woman scorned because of past events. She meets a man who was as uninterested in her as she was him, but she was the only one to help him with his plan. Now, I am not going to tell you the whole book because you should read it. You must first start with The Autumn Bride though because it is the first in this particular series, but it won’t mess you up if you just want to read the second. There will be a total of four books when this series is finished. I seriously can’t wait to read the third and the second one has just come out. I have a feeling I will be waiting for a long time for the next one. Boo Hoo! Anne Gracie has a lot of other books that I plan on reading as soon as I can. I feel that reading is an extra special thing we get to do. When you open a book you start an adventure into the mind of someone else. It isn’t the same as watching a movie or tv show. The book is yours. It is your adventure to have. Your adventure will be different than everyone elses which makes it that much more special. Read one chapter of one book every day and I feel that it will for sure make your life better. Books make everything better!

Many people think it is foolish to spend your time trying to win things through sweepstakes. I am not some crazy lady that spends all my time on the computer to try and win a book. My sweeping takes me about a half hour to an hour, but I have countless other places to look for others if I have the time. First, I decided what I wanted most. I want to travel. More importantly, I want to travel for free! So, that was my starting place. I follow a blog that does all the work for me in finding them and all I do is enter my name in daily until it ends. The blog I follow is here. It is really easy. I haven’t won a trip yet, but I really want to win the trip to London(fingers crossed!). The idea of possibly winning a trip for either my family or just my husband and I is enough to keep me going. Keep your eye on the prize, right? I really hope that I have a blog later with all the details of the trip that I took. I will be talking about another blog and one of the books I won and read tomorrow. Stay tuned. Enter some sweeps from that blog while you are waiting!

I have been pretty busy during the day while the kids are at school and also at night while they are in bed. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia last year which has left me quite sedentary. I have been doing some sweepstakes and also signing up for free samples. I know that most people think that it is a waste of time, but in the month I have been doing it I have won 4 books from goodreads, a sample of Wedela body wash, and I got a free sample of Truvia. I think that is pretty good for a month’s work. It got me thinking that I could review these books or samples I receive and tell people about them. I mean, what good would it do anyone to get awesome stuff, keep it all, and not tell anyone about it? I have also started as a consultant for Arbonne and since I am still skeptical of their products I thought I would try those out as well and let you know how they have affected me before you try them on yourself. So, keep an eye out for my blog posts and read along!
